Issue:

How to hide released files in the Vault Thin client when the state changes to a nonreleased state?
Files with a historically released state are still shown with a blank lifecycle state if the state is changed from a released state.

Causes:

  • The file should be hidden when the state changes to a nonreleased state.

Solution:

To achieve this, use the following instructions:
  1. As an Administrator in Vault Thin Client, set the settings for files like this:image.png
  1. In Vault Client go to Tools > Administration > Vault Settings.
  2. Select the Behaviors Tab and click Lifecycles.
  3. Identify the Lifecycle Definition that the file resides in and add to the nonreleased state a group that contains the thin client users. The group needs to have deny on Read and all other permissions can stay empty.
  4. Retry the operation and see that the file is no longer visible to users from that group.
