How to set plain background in Navisworks

Issue:

How to set plain, solid background in Full Render mode in Navisworks? In the specific Navisworks model one is unable to change the background.
 

Causes:

Sun and/or Exposure option is activated in Autodesk Rendering settings and Full Render mode is used.

Solution:

Follow these steps to set the plain, solid background in Full Render mode in Navisworks.
  1. Run Navisworks and open the model.
  2. Check and set it to Full Render mode (Viewpoint>Render Style>Full Render Mode).
  3. Set the background as required (Plain Red in example).

  1. Go to the Render>Autodesk Rendering Dialog Box and check if Sun and/or Exposure is activated.

  1. Deactivate both options and the background should be displayed correctly.
