Missing geometry on Inventor drawings exported to DWFX when viewed with the Autodesk Viewer in Vault

Issue:

Users reported that geometry is missing (e.g. holes) on Inventor DWG drawings exported to DWFX when viewed with the Autodesk Viewer (Forge Viewer).

Additional symptomps:

  • In some cases center bore holes are missing as well as other circles that are displayed correctly when the DWF is viewed in Autodesk Design Review.
  • Issue appears when viewing files in both:
    • Vault Thin Client.
    • Vault Thick Client.
  • Issue appears in 2022.3.

Vault 2022.3.2 Update

To install updates, open the Autodesk desktop app and click My Updates. To install a new version of your Autodesk software, open the Autodesk desktop app, sign in, and click My Products. To use a web browser to install updates or a new version, sign in to Autodesk Account. (Your access to new versions or updates depends on your Autodesk software entitlements.)

Workaround:

Follow one of the below:
  • Consider switching the export type for Inventor 2D files to DWF in Vault Settings as issue only impacts DWFx format files.
