MrSid third-generation and fourth-generation files appear differently in Civil 3D

Issue:

In Civil 3D, image appears in incorrect when inserting MrSID 4th generation using MAPPIINSERT command. MrSID 4th generation image is tinted blue while MrSID 3rd generation has the correct colors.

Causes:

Autodesk does not support MrSID 4th generation images.

Solution:

To avoid this issue use image-editing software to export (or Save As) the image into one of the supported Autodesk image formats.
