Offset curve does not 'offset' correctly in Powershape

Issue:

Offset curve does not 'offset' correctly in Powershape. Getting irregular offset distance between new offset curve and original curve.

Causes:

Outer original curve has discontinuity.

Solution:

To offset curve to a constant offset value; 
  1. Select curve to offset.
  2. Manage.
  3. Merge & Spline. image.png
  4. Edit.
  5. Offset.
  6. Click arrow to set offset direction (Outwards/inwards). 
  7. Type Distance.
  8. Enter.
Note - How new offset is a constant 4.1 mm offset all around profile.
