Plotting transparent surface with 2D elevation banding assigned shows triangulation

Issue:

Users reported that a Civil 3D surface with a 2D elevation banding style is plotted with transparency, the PDF version of the surface shows triangulation. The TIFF version is corrupted.
How to print a high-quality digital image (containing transparent surfaces, legend tables, etc.) that can be inserted into Microsoft Word, etc.

Solution:

Try:
  1. Print the drawing to DWF
  2. Open the DWF in Autodesk Design Review
  3. In Autodesk Design Review, click print from the Quick Access Toolbar
  4. Choose the available PDF driver
  5. Click Advance... at the bottom of the Print dialog box.
  6. Check on "Turn data into a bitmap before printing" option in the 'Advanced Print Options' dialog box.
  7. Click OK and Print.
