"System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x80080005)" error when running DWF creation jobs for SolidWorks files in Vault 2023

Issue:

Users reported that DWF creation jobs for SolidWorks files in Vault 2023 fail with the message:
System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x80080005)
Autodesk.Connectivity.WebServices.VaultServiceErrorException: 1013 Server stack trace: at Autodesk.Connectivity.WebServices.ServiceBase

Status:

This incident has been resolved in:

Vault 2024

To install updates, open the Autodesk desktop app and click My Updates. To install a new version of your Autodesk software, open the Autodesk desktop app, sign in, and click My Products. To use a web browser to install updates or a new version, sign in to Autodesk Account. (Your access to new versions or updates depends on your Autodesk software entitlements.)

Workaround:

The DWF updates task fail when SolidWorks is activated to export to DWF but does not run silently. To work around the issue either unload the Vault add-in for SolidWorks in SolidWorks or set it to login automatically and configure these prompt to not prompt:
