Issue:

Users reported that the beam centerlines are misplaced when importing the IFC to Revit.
The same behaviour occurs when uploading the IFC document to BIM 360 Document Management.

Status:

This incident has been resolved in:

Revit 2023

To install updates, open the Autodesk desktop app and click My Updates. To install a new version of your Autodesk software, open the Autodesk desktop app, sign in, and click My Products. To use a web browser to install updates or a new version, sign in to Autodesk Account. (Your access to new versions or updates depends on your Autodesk software entitlements.)

Workaround:

In order to import the objects to Revit or to BIM 360 Document Management, convert the IFC file to NWD format following the steps below:
  1. Open Navisworks Manage software.
  2. Append the IFC file.
  3. Save the document in NWD format.
  4. Import the file to Revit project following the article: Link a Coordination Model.
