Issue:

Is it possible to locally render a stereo panoramic view (Panorama) using the V-Ray render engine and have it available in the Autodesk Virtual Reality (VR) Panorama platform?

Causes:

Independently from the renderers used in 3ds Max (Arnold, Scanline, V-Ray etc.), locally rendered panoramic views are built in a different way than the ones built with the cloud rendering tool used in A360, so they would not be recognized as panoramic views by Autodesk Panorama.

Solution:

Although it is not possible to choose V-Ray as a render option for Panoramas (as it is not an Autodesk product), panoramic views are available in Autodesk VR Panorama using the Autodesk Cloud Rendering service.

Products:

3ds Max;

Versions:

2019; 2018;
