Cannot set layout plot scale to 1:1 in AutoCAD Map 3D

Issue:

When plotting, a plot scale of 1" = 1' shows in the Scale.  When changed to 1:1 and after the plot is previewed the plot scale has changed back to 1" = 1'.

Also this scale of 1" = 1' cannot be deleted.

Causes:

This is due to the scale 1" = 1' in the drawing, which is not a legal scale built in AutoCAD.

Solution:

Change the 1" = 1' scale to another value.
  1. Enter SCALELISTEDIT command
  2. Choose the 1" = 1' scale and select the edit button
  3. Change the scale to another scale, like 88" = 1'
Now when plotting, 1:1 plot scale can be selected and it will stay as it should
