Crashes or instability occurs when rendering with Corona in 3ds Max

Issue:

Users reported that when rendering with the Corona render engine in 3ds Max, the program may do one or more of the following:

  • Become unresponsive.
  • Renders take longer than normal.
  • Crash.

     

Environment:

Corona Renderer is a 3rd-party render engine for Autodesk 3ds Max and other digital content creation (DCC) applications.

Causes:

Causes include, but are not limited to:

  • Outdated version of Corona Renderer.
  • Issues with Corona licensing system.
  • Hardware issues.

Solution:

The solution may require one, or a combination of the following:
 

Update to the latest version of Corona

  • Go to the Corona Renderer site, then download and install the latest version of Corona for 3ds Max.

 

Reset Corona License Files

Log a report with Corona
