Creating or editing a drawing causes Fusion to freeze or crash

Issue:

Users reported that when creating a drawing or editing an existing drawing in Fusion, the following may occur:
  • The program freezes ("Not responding" notification) or requires a Force Quit.
  • Fusion crashes with no crash report and may cause the computer to do a full restart.
  • Fusion freezes while scaling drawing view.

Environment:

  • Windows OS
  • macOS Ventura

Causes:

Graphics

Solution:

Change graphics driver setting:

In Preferences, change Fusion graphics driver from "Auto-select" to "DirectX 11".

Update graphics card drivers:

Switch to high performance graphics:

For AMD based systems: 

Note:  Follow these steps to find the path where AcCoreConsole is located:

  1. Open the Task Manager and expand the Fusion Process.
  2. AcCoreConsole will only be listed, if a drawing is open in Fusion. (Right click and open file location)
  3. Copy this location path to the clipboard.
