Issue:

How to download and install AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT on Mac OS.

Environment:

Mac OS

Solution:

  1. Go to Autodesk Account Page.
  2. Under 'All products and Services' , Select AutoCAD product to install.
  3. Choose the version and click 'View downloads'. 
  4. Download the installer for Mac (dmg extension).
  5. Double-click the dmg file.
  6. The program will extract and the installer will run.
  7. Select the install option and follow the prompts.
  8. Click "continue" and follow the prompts to install.
  9. After installing AutoCAD please install all available Service Packs for the version of AutoCAD.
      • For AutoCAD products for versions 2017 and newer, after launching AutoCAD product select the license type on Let's Get Started window.
      • For AutoCAD products for versions 2016 and earlier, Enter the serial and Product Key and select the license type (network or standalone, dependent on the serial purchased).
