Issue:

Users reported that Desktop Connector version 16.x locks files that are linked into Revit or Navisworks models. Both links and host models are located in Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).

  • The behaviour may occur when opening a Revit host file that contains links from Desktop Connector.
  • The locked models must be manually unlocked, as closing the software does not unlock the file.
  • When using shared coordinates on a Revit link, it will remain locked even after Revit.exe process ends.

Note: For Revit, this mainly applies to models that are non workshared, but the issue may occur also for workshared files.
