Issue:

The Autodesk Interoperability Tools (AIT) Model Checker gives the incorrect result when counting the number of roof elements per workset in a Revit model.

The number provided by model checker is a multiple of the actual number of elements.

Causes:

Model Checker is reliant on the data provided by Revit, which in this case is reporting all the components that contribute to the roof's functions.

These elements are highlighted in yellow in this capture from the RevitLookup tool:

Solution:

Use the Autodesk Model Checker Configurator to create a custom check to count the roof elements on a specific workset or a pass/fail check to look for any roof elements not on the workset.
