Issue:

After running the Storm and Sanitary Analysis (SSA) model for Civil 3D containing external flow and RDII hydrograph at nodes, the run fails and you receive the following message:

Perform Analysis

Analysis was unsuccessful.
Review output report for further details.

After reviewing the report, the "Error 341: Cannot open scratch RDII interface file" message can be seen.

Solution:

To solve this issue, manually create an RDII file in SSA prior to running the model:
  1. In SSA, Select Analysis > Analysis Options.
  2. In the Write External interface files box in the lower right had corner, select RDII (this will place a check mark on it) > Select the ellipsis button next to the field that appears.
  3. Choose a location to save the file > Give the RDII file a name > Select OK.
