Error: “Unknown command “PYTHON”” when trying to run Python from the Civil 3D command line

Issue:

After the installation of the Civil Python the command "PYTHON" is not recognized in Civil 3D.

Solution:

To be able to run Python in Civil 3D

  1. Install the “CivilPython.bundle”
  2. Open the XML file “C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins\CivilPython.bundle\PackageContents.xml” in a text editor.
  3. Change the value for “SeriesMax” to “R24.2

  1. Save the XML file.
  2. Start Dynamo from the Civil 3D Ribbon
  3. Install the package “DynamoIronPython3
