Cannot assign an actuator to a valve in AutoCAD Plant 3D

Issue:

It is not possible to assign an actuator to a valve in AutoCAD Plant 3D. In the properties of the valve in group "Valve Operator" the property "Operator" is missing.

Causes:

The property "ActuatorType" is removed in the valve class definition.

Solution:

Follow these steps:

  1. Open project setup and switch to the node "Plant 3D DWG Settings > Plant 3D Class Definitions > Piping and Equipment > Pipe Run Component > Valve"
  2. Add a property "ActuatorType" as a string property

  2. The property "Operator" is now available but Initially it is set to "None": Assign for each needed valve an operator
