Issue:

What particular operations leverage GPU (graphics processing unit) more than others in Inventor?
The benchmark shows for example that only 10 to 15% of the graphic card resources are used by Inventor. 
 

Solution:

The following features are leveraging GPU in Inventor:
  • GPU Ray Tracing (GPU Ray Tracing - What's New in Inventor 2023).
  • Zoom, Oribt and Pan.
  • Silhouettes.
  • Graphics enhanced effects:
    • Shadows,
    • Reflections,
    • Image-based lighting,
    • Advanced materials, etc.
  • Transparency.
  • Section view.
  • Large assemblies with more occurrences, but less unique parts.
