Issue:

Yellow alerts, indicated by an exclamation mark, appear next to some dimensions and leaders in AutoCAD or its verticals.

Causes:

When the annotation monitor is toggled on, these alerts display next to associative dimensions and leaders that have become dissociated from their objects.

Solution:

To toggle the annotation monitor off:

On the command line type ANNOMONITOR and set this variable to 0 to turn off the alert.

To keep the annotation monitor on, and re-associate the dissociated dimension:

  1. Select the alert next to the dimension or type on the command line DIMREASSOCIATE.
  2. Select the point that the dimension should re-associate with.

Note: Make sure OSNAPs are on. Try using Endpoint OSNAP only for accurate selection.
