Solution:

DB Link

Revit DB Link allows you to maintain a relationship between a Revit project and a database including Excel.

Here is a YouTube video with more info on using this feature: Revit DB Link Data Import Export

AutoCAD

Import the Excel data into an AutoCAD TABLE, save it as a drawing file (DWG / DXF), and link/import this drawing file into Revit. The following blog post from The Student Architect has more details on this process: How to Link Excel Spreadsheets into AutoCAD + Revit

If encountering issues with the appearance of Excel data when brought in through the DWG Table, try removing formatting (cut & paste values only).

Add-in

Use third party add-ons  like Diroots, Ideate sticky to import/link Microsoft Excel files in Revit.

Image Import

Export the Excel Sheet into a raster image and importing this into Revit.
