Incorrect analytical model produced by Analytical Automation in Revit 2023

Issue:

Users reported that the analytical model elements produced by Analytical Automation (Physical to Analytical Automation) in Revit 2023 are not connected/aligned as expected based on the geometry.

One or more of the following issues may be seen:
  • Walls not connected (if low tolerances are set).

  • Angled analytical objects (if larger tolerance is set).

This incident has been resolved in:

Revit 2024.1

To install updates, open the Autodesk desktop app and click My Updates. To install a new version of your Autodesk software, open the Autodesk desktop app, sign in, and click My Products. To use a web browser to install updates or a new version, sign in to Autodesk Account. (Your access to new versions or updates depends on your Autodesk software entitlements.)

Workaround:

Generate analytical model with small tolerance defined in Analytical Automation then correct model manually. Use the following model correction options.
  • Manual analytical model correction in Revit 2023 (options from Modify panel in Revit, Edit boundary for analytical panels, dragging analytical objects grips).
  • Analytical model correction after model export in structural analysis software (Robot Structural Analysis).
