Importing STL files into various 3D print software produces a different scale from Inventor

Issue:

After, exporting an STL file from Inventor and importing it into a 3D print software the scale of the part was incorrect.

Causes:

The 3D print software units and exported STL units do not match.

Solution:

When exporting the STL from Inventor use the following workflow:
  1. Navigate to File>Export>CAD Format:

  1. Select Save as type and select STL.
  2. Select Options and input your required scale settings:

Alternatively use the 3D Print environment to set up the model: Using Inventor for 3D Printing.
