Issue:

Is it possible to consider compression in slab RC plane to reduce cracking while required reinforcement design in Robot Structural Anlaysis.

Solution:

Activate design for bending and tension/compression in RC slab design parameters.

Follow the steps.
  1. Open Design >Required reinforcement of Slabs/Walls >Options > Code Parameters
  2. Edit Set of parameters to be modified.
  3. Change label name if necessary.
  4. Go to General tab.
  5. Activate Type Bending+compression/tension.
  6. Add.
  7. Apply modified set of parameters to RC slab to be design.

Run RC slab required reinforcement calculation from Design >Required reinforcement of Slabs/Walls >Options > Calculations.
