Specific template is not generating views in the project browser in Revit

Issue:

Creating a new view does not generate a view in the project browser and is specific to a one template. 

Solution:

This issue has been fixed in the REVIT 2017 content hot fixes, check: Autodesk Revit 2017 Content Hotfixes.

To fix this issue in an existing template:
  1. Open the template or the project that are causing the issue.
  2. Open a new project without any template selected (“None”).
  3. Create a drafting view in this new project.
  4. In the project browser, select the drafting view, right click and select “Copy to clipboard”.
  5. Open the other project that can't generate the view.
  6. On the ribbon click Modify and under Clipboard select Paste from Clipboard.
  7. The previous drafting view is going to be pasted in the project browser.
  8. Save this file as a new template.
