Issue:

What kind of dimension style is 'Windows Desktop' in Primary Units tab of Dimstyle dialogue and how does it works in AutoCAD.

Solution:

Microsoft Windows Desktop unit format is decimal format using Control Panel settings for decimal separator and number grouping symbols(e.g. Comma). Meaning, this option will enable to use the Windows Desktop settings such as defining digit number grouping symbol.

This setting can be modified in below location:
  • Windows Start > Control Panel > Clock, Region and Language > Change the date, time or number format > Formats > Additional Settings > Digit grouping symbol
