Issue:

Incorrect load distribution on members for one-way cladding in Robot Structural Analysis.

Despite one way cladding type definition, loads are applied to all bars in cladding plane.
Example:

Example of load distribution using "Load distribution regions" display attribute

Causes:

Bars not perpendicular and not parallel to cladding local x axis.
Despite one way cladding type selection, loads are applied to all elements which are not parallel or perpendicular to cladding local x axis.

Existing members local axis compared to cladding local axis

Solution:

Possible solutions:

Change cladding local x direction. Depending on one-way cladding type, members parallel (One way-X) or perpendicular (One-way Y) to cladding local x axis will be neglected in load distribution.

Follow the steps:
  1. Open Geometry > Properties > "Local panel direction".
  2. Activate Definition of local X axis direction.
  3. Define pick two points defining cladding local x axis direction.
  4. Activate Panel field.
  5. Select cladding.
  6. Click Apply button.

Change cladding type to Two Way and exclude required members from load distribution.

Follow the steps:
  1. Open Geometry > Additional Attributes > Load Distribution > Claddings.
  2. Select "Two-Way" cladding type.
  3. Activate Current selection field.
  4. Select cladding .
  5. Click Apply button.
Applying "Two-Way" cladding type to selected cladding
  1. Select members to be neglected in load distribution.
  2. Change Trapezoidal and triangular method (for selected bars) to Ignore in Project Browser.
