Issue:

When plotting to certain HP plotters from AutoCAD Products, the 'number of copies' value specified in the Plot dialog is ignored. The original first copy is printed and then either nothing happens or blanks pages come out.

Some of the affected HP DesignJet model include:

  • T520
  • T790
  • T795
  • T1300
  • T2300

Causes:

  • Faulty Printer Driver.
  • Missing RUNDLL32.exe on Windows.

Solution:

Try one of the following:

  • Plot to PDF first, using the DWGtoPDF.pc3 or other driver, then print the PDF from a PDF viewer-editor.

  • Plot the drawing from DWG TrueView.

  • Change the number of copies in the plotter properties setup for the HP/GL2 printer driver (available with some HP printer models) in the HP dialog box.

AutoCAD Print dialog and printer custom properties dialog.

  • Install RUNDLL32.exe on Windows.
