"One or more errors occurred. Error loading discovery document" error occurs when trying to configure the connection to Assemble from MS Excel using the add-in

Issue:

When trying to configure the connection to Assemble using the Assemble Excel Addin in MS Excel, the following error occurs:

Error Occurred

One or more errors occurred. Error loading discovery document. Error connecting to https://auth.au.tryassemble.com/.well-known/openid-configuration: An error occurred while sending the request. An error occurred while sending the request. The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a send. Unable to read data from the transport connection: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host. An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.

Solution:

Make sure to uninstall and then reinstall the Assemble Add-in from here.

Note: If still unresolved then, after uninstall, remove the connection files from: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Assemble and then reinstall the add-in.

You may also want to check that the latest Microsoft update has been installed.
