"Encountered problem when meshing face ..." message missing when meshing fails in Moldflow

Issue:

Users reported that when a CAD meshing process fails with in Moldflow, the "Encountered problem when meshing face ..."  message is missing. Depending on the version:
  • In versions 2023 and older it was reported like in the following snippet:
Generating CAD mesh
  Encountered problem when meshing face 3509.

CAD meshing process failed.
  • In version 2024 the face is not mentioned anymore, like in the following snippet:
Generating CAD mesh

CAD meshing process failed.

 

Solution:

To get reported the face making the mesh fail, mesh the model with either:

  • Moldflow 2023 or older.
  • Moldflow 2025.

2024;
