"Problem with Item - Specification is Invalid" when editing items in Fabrication

Issue:

When opening items in Fabrication products, the following message occurs:

Warning
Problem with Item "<Item Size>"
Specification is Invalid.

Solution:

To resolve the issue, follow these steps:

  1. Access the Fabrication Database:
  • In CADmep, enter EDITDBASE.
  • In CAMduct and ESTmep, click File > Setup > Database.
  1. In the "Database" dialog, click "Fittings".
  2. In the left pane, click "Specifications".
  3. From the "Specification" drop-down list, select the Specification applied to the affected item.
  4. In the Specification, check one or more of the following:
  • If the Specification has entries for the material applied to the item.
  • If data is missing, for example data that has been deleted, but still in use within Specifications.
Missing data appear as "None*", for example:

  1. Edit the Specification according to your requirements.
  2. Click "OK" to apply the changes and close the "Database" dialog.
