Issue:

While rendering certain files in AutoCAD, the render window closes and the following error message displays:

  • Render - No Faces to Render
    This scene cannot be rendered.
The scene must contain at least one 3D wireframe or solid model object to render.

Render - No Faces to Render This scene cannot be rendered.  The scene must contain at least one 3D wireframe or solid model object to render.

  • The file does contain 3D solids, wireframes, or AEC objects.
  • The file renders correctly from a different workstation.

Causes:

The graphics card (and/or its driver version) in the machine is not certified, and cannot complex renders.

Solution:

Upgrade to a graphics card and driver version that is certified:
Use the Autodesk Certified Hardware site to find one that is certified for your system and software version.

Changed the visual style to anything other than 2D.
