Issue:

Users reported that the portions of an in-place mass element which are outside of a plan's view range may still appear in the view.

Status:

No issue has been identified and the software is behaving as designed.

Additional Information:

In the Revit project for which this incident was reported, the in-place mass element's category had been set to Structural Framing. As with windows and doors, the cutting of structural framing elements is established on the family level; however, the in-place nature of the mass element in this project prevents the cutting from being established.

Workaround:

Change the category of the in-place mass to Generic Model (and, if necessary, turn on the visibility of the Generic Models category in the view or the view template).

Products:

Revit; Revit Architecture; Revit LT; Revit MEP; Revit Structure;

Versions:

2016;

Incident ID:
