Issue:

When launching Revit, the splash screen appears, then it disappears, and nothing happens. No warnings are displayed.

Solution:

 

Disable all add-ons

  1. Test Revit without add-ons using the steps in the following article: How to disable add-ons for Revit.
  2. If Revit launches without 3rd party add-ons, test adding them one by one until the problematic add-on is found.
  3. Contact the add-on creator for additional support.

Disable hardware acceleration:

  • Right-click the AutoCAD-based product icon on either the desktop or the Start menu and click Properties.
  • In the Properties dialog box, click the Shortcut tab.
  • In the Target field, edit the content to have the /nohardware switch at the end. For example: "C:\Program Files\AutoCAD 2018\acad.exe" /nohardware
  • Click OK.

Run as Administrator:

  • Right-click on shortcut.
  • Select "Run as Administrator".
