Shear stresses value equal to zero on panel maps in Robot Structural Analysis

Issue:

Despite non zero values, displayed on shear forces maps, shear stresses value, displayed on panel maps is equal to zero in Robot Structural Analysis. Model is calculated correctly. Non zero bending moments are displacement are presented on panel maps.

Example:
Shear force maps (QXX):
Non zero shear forces

Shear stress maps (tXX):
Shear stresses equal to zero

 

 

Causes:

Shear stresses are presented on upper or lower surface of panels.

Solution:

Change panel layer for shear stress presentation:
Follow the steps:

  1. Open Results >Maps option.
  2. Go to Parameters tab.
  3. Select middle  layer for stresses.
  4. Apply.
