Thumbnail image is not visible in Windows Explorer for saved PowerShape files

Issue:

Thumbnail image is not visible in Windows Explorer after saving file in PowerShape.
It should display a preview of the model saved in the psmodel file as shown:

Environment:

Windows 10 and Windows 11

Solution:

To display a thumbnail image of the saved psmodel in Windows Explorer, do the following,
  1. Go to File > Options > Applications Options.
  2. On Options page click File > Model.
  3. Select the Automatic option for Thumbnail Save Mode.

  1. Restart PowerShape.
  2. Open and save the psmodel.
  3. Make sure that the Windows Explorer View settings are set to at least minimum icons.
Change default programs in Windows
  1. Select Start > Settings > Apps > Default apps.
  2. To change the default app, you can do either of the following: Set a default for a file type or link type. In the search bar, enter the file type or link type you want, then select it from the list of results.

Note
Should Thumb nails be lost when opening drawings in psmodel; try and open all the drawings in the psmodel. This should create new images . Then save the psmodel.
 All thumb nails will reappear when the drawings are reopened after the save and closing of part
