Solution:

To avoid this issue, perform one or more of the following strategies:

Check if Excel nodes are nonfunctional due to bad registry data

  1. Go to Windows Start > Run.

  2. Type "regedit".

  3. Browse to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT >TypeLib > {00020813-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}.

  4. Delete the 1.8 key.

Excel version and compatibility

  • Use Excel 2013 or higher versions preferably. Excel 2010 usually works, but 2007 does not.
  • Make sure the bit version of the Office OS and the Windows OS is the same.

Microsoft warnings or updates

Check for Microsoft warnings or updates.

Special characters in the Sheet name

Rename the sheet in both Dynamo node and Excel file without the use of special symbols.

If none of the previous strategies help, try uninstalling and reinstalling MS Office.
