Commands do not show prompts or results at the mouse cursor in AutoCAD products

Issue:

When using any command in AutoCAD products, these elements are not displayed at the mouse cursor:

  • Measurement values.
  • Command suggestion.
  • Command prompts.
  • Input values.

This behavior can be seen in this video:

Causes:

Dynamic input is turned off.

Solution:

Turn on dynamic input by doing any of the following:

  • Pressing the F12 key on the keyboard.

  • Enter DYNMODE on the command line and set the value to 3.
  • Select Dynamic Input on the Status bar.
