What

Manage landslide analysis and rehabilitation.

Who

Civil engineers, surveyors and all AEC role involved in infrastructure project.

How

  1. In AuoCAD Civil 3D, build a surface starting from entry data as contour, general AutoCAD object point or point cloud;

  1. Define an alignment along the main slope;

  1. Use Create Surface Profile to understand earth configuration and to sketch design profile;

  1. Define an alignment that passes through point A;

 

  1. Create a surface profile from the last alignment, and define a project profile using Profile Creation Tools 

  1. Define a single assembly with two elements:
    • Left Side: DaylightBench 
    • Right Side: LinkSlopeToSurface

 

  1. Build a corridor with the following setting:

 

  1. Explore the corridor.

  1. Change setting for the left component:
    • Cut Slope 1:1, 
    • Max Cut Height: 5.0m,
    • Bench Width: 5.0m
  2. Update corridor.

Why

This alternative approach is more flexible for the study of earth movement than AutoCAD Civil 3D can provide using Grading Tools.
