What is the Web App Program?
Autodesk is offering the new Web App Program* beginning July 1, 2020. This program enables anyone to access all the tools and commands of the AutoCAD web app from any computer for free, including free for commercial use, for an extended period.
How do I access the AutoCAD web app?
Go to web.autocad.com and sign in with your Autodesk Account.
How do I activate the program trial for the AutoCAD web app?
No activation is required for the AutoCAD web app. Go to web.autocad.com and sign in with your Autodesk Account credentials.
What languages are available in the AutoCAD web app?
Currently, the AutoCAD web app is only available in English.
If I am a participant of the Extended Access Program (EAP), do I need to do anything prior to June 30th to maintain access to projects and data?
No, your access to projects and data will continue with the new Web App Program.
Is the Web App Program for the AutoCAD web app available for educational use?
Yes, students and educators can use the AutoCAD web app during this time.
Is the Web App Program available for other Autodesk products?
No, the Web App Program only applies to the AutoCAD web app.
What are the supported browsers for the AutoCAD web app?
The AutoCAD web app is supported by 64-bit Google Chrome, 64-bit Mozilla Firefox, and 64-bit Microsoft Edge on Windows or Mac. We recommend using the latest version of supported web browsers.
What if I’m an existing AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT subscriber? How do I check my entitlements to see if I have access to the AutoCAD web app?

How can I access my DWG files from the AutoCAD web app?
If your drawings are stored on one of AutoCAD’s supported cloud storage providers (Google Drive, Box, Microsoft OneDrive or Dropbox), you can go to web.autocad.com and click Add storage provider on the left. Follow the steps to connect your preferred provider. Alternatively, you can upload drawings to your AutoCAD Web and Mobile storage by clicking the Upload button on web.autocad.com. You can also upload drawings to a cloud storage provider once it is connected.

Can I subscribe to the AutoCAD web app?
The AutoCAD web app is not available as a stand-alone subscription. The AutoCAD web app is included for free with an AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT subscription.
When will this program end?
We are continually monitoring the needs of our customers and the situation surrounding the global outbreak and may make modifications to the program, including products, at any time.
What options are available to me as a Web App Program participant after the program ends?
After the program ends, you can continue to use the AutoCAD web app as a free user. Free users can use the AutoCAD web app to view drawings. Alternatively, users can subscribe to AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT to continue to work on the AutoCAD web app without interruption. The AutoCAD web app is not available as a stand-alone subscription.
If I participate in the Web App Program, will I be able to continue my work in the AutoCAD web app without interruption if I subscribe to the software?
The AutoCAD web app is not available as a stand-alone subscription. The AutoCAD web app is included with an AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT subscription. With a subscription to AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT, you will be able to continue your work without interruption.
Can I use the AutoCAD web app in place of AutoCAD LT or AutoCAD? Does the AutoCAD web app provide the same functionality as AutoCAD LT and AutoCAD?
The AutoCAD web app does not have all the functionality and commands that are available in the desktop versions of AutoCAD LT or AutoCAD. The AutoCAD web app supports a set of foundational AutoCAD drafting, modification, and markup capabilities with command-line and mouse input. The available commands in the AutoCAD web app are listed in the online help.
Note: The goal of this program is not to convert customers into paid users of AutoCAD. Leveraging our existing product trial experience is the most effective way to make available the AutoCAD web app to you as quickly as possible. You may receive in-product or email communications prompting you to subscribe to the AutoCAD during the length of this extended trial. We are working on pausing these messages. We acknowledge that this is not an ideal experience, but we are acting as quickly as possible to support our customers during this challenging time.
