Summary

This release for the Autodesk Identity Manager Component is available for the Windows platform. This update includes enhanced security measures and addresses bug fixes related to browser-based sign-in providing secure authorization based on the OAuth 2.0 protocol. Autodesk strongly recommends applying the latest available version of the Autodesk Identity Manager component for improved security and better performance.

Important Notes:

  1. This Autodesk Identity Manager Component update is a standalone installer and does not require the installation of any other updates.
  2. For administrators deploying 2024 and higher version products using the Autodesk Identity Manager component, Autodesk recommends installing the latest Autodesk Identity Manager Component update before installing your Autodesk product.

Improvements:

  1. Resiliency improvements for token refresh / exchange.
  2. Added Windows spectre mitigations compile flags to harden security.
  3. Embedded server environment configurations within AdskIdentityManager
  4. Crash fixes around AdskIdentityManager initialisation and interprocess communication.

How to Install:

Option 1: Use the installer from the Autodesk Access app (recommended)

  1. Open Autodesk Access App and sign into your Autodesk Account.
  2. Click the My Updates tab.
  3. Find the notification for an update with the title 'Identity Manager 1.0 1.15.0 English-US 64-Bit (Windows)'.
  4. Click Update and wait until the process finishes.

Option 2: Use the installer from the Account Portal 

  1. Open https://manage.autodesk.com/products/updates and sign into your Autodesk Account.
  2. Find the update with the title 'Identity Manager 1.0 1.15.0 English-US 64-Bit (Windows)'.
  3. Click "Download" and wait until the process finishes.
  4. Refer to the "Troubleshooting" section below if you faced any installation errors.

Option 3: Use the download link from Autodesk servers

  1. Download from this link.
  2. Double-click the 'AdskIdentityManager-UCT-Installer.exe' file to start the installation.
  3. Follow the installation dialogs until the process is complete.
  4. Refer to the "Troubleshooting" section below if you faced any installation errors.

 

Troubleshooting:

Installer blocked from running on Windows 11 

  1. Check the "Properties" of the installer and if the "Security" section is present at the bottom of the window, select "Unblock".

 

Error 3051 was encountered during installation

  1. Please follow instruction in this article to download AdODIS (Autodesk Installation Service). 
  2. Once AdODIS is successfully installed, retry the installation steps in "How to Install" section for 'Use the installer from the Account Portal' or 'Use the download link from Autodesk servers'.
