Autodesk Single Sign On Component (AdSSO) update for 2020 - 2023 product versions for Windows users

Summary

This patch release for the Autodesk Single Sign On Component is available for the Windows platform. The update includes third party dependency upgrade for fixing security vulnerabilities, resilience improvements and bug fixes. Autodesk strongly recommends installing the latest available version of the Autodesk Single Sign On Component for better security and performance.

Important Notes:

  1. This update provides a standalone installer and doesn't require installation of any other updates.
  2. For administrators deploying 2020 - 2023 products, Autodesk recommends installing the latest Autodesk Single Sign On Component update before installing your Autodesk product. Alternatively, you can replace the Autodesk Single Sign On Component Installer within the product installation files prior to deploying the product.

Improvements:

The update includes libraries update for fixing security vulnerabilities, resilience improvements and bug fixes.

How to Install:

Option 1: Use the installer from the Autodesk Access (recommended)

  1. Close all Autodesk applications.
  2. Go to the Task Manager and end the AdSSO.exe process (if running).
  3. Open the Autodesk Access and sign into Autodesk Account.
  4. Click the My Updates tab.
  5. Find the notification for an update with the title "Single Sign On Component-V13.8.6-2020.x SecurityFix English-US 64-Bit (Windows)".
  6. Click Update and wait until the process finishes.

Option 2: Use the installer from the Account Portal 

  1. Close all Autodesk applications.
  2. Go to the Task Manager and end the AdSSO.exe process (if running).
  3. Open https://manage.autodesk.com/products/updates and sign into your Autodesk Account.
  4. Find the update with the title "Single Sign On Component-V13.8.6-2020.x SecurityFix English-US 64-Bit (Windows)".
  5. Click Download and wait until the process finishes. 

Option 3: Use the installer attached to this article

  1. Close all Autodesk applications.
  2. Go to the Task Manager and end the AdSSO.exe process (if running).
  3. Download and unzip adsso_2024_64-bit-update_installer.zip (see attachment at the bottom of this article).
  4. Double-click the Adsso.msi file to start the installation.
  5. Follow the Installation dialogs until the process is complete.

Note: if the AdSSO process is running or if any Autodesk application is open during the install, you may see the following dialog. If you do, click OK to proceed.
