Plotting to a specific printer crashes AutoCAD

Issue:

When trying to plot from AutoCAD, a certain printer driver causes AutoCAD to crash. The same drawing will plot successfully to other printers and to the AutoCAD PDF driver.

Solution:

Do one or more of the following:

Uninstall and reinstall the problematic printer driver.
Delete and/or recreate the PC3 file assigned in Page Setup.
Install the latest updates for AutoCAD (see Install Updates, Add-ons, and Enhancements).
Manually remove the printer driver and then install the latest version from the printer manufacturer. Remove all driver packages for the manufacturer so that a clean install of the specific problematic printer driver can be done (see How to manually uninstall a printer driver in Windows).
Remove and reinstall Visual C++ (see How to remove and reinstall Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Libraries).
If the plotter is set as the default one on the drawing, recreate the drawing by copying and pasting or inserting the content to a blank template.
