On March 26, 2024, ShotGrid will be renamed Autodesk Flow Production Tracking. Flow is our industry cloud for media and entertainment built on Autodesk’s Design and Make Platform. It will enable powerful and extended workflows that connect teams, workflows, and data across the production lifecycle.

ShotGrid Name Change

  1. What is changing?
    ShotGrid is being renamed to Flow Production Tracking.

    Rest assured, you will continue to use Flow Production Tracking (formerly ShotGrid) as you always have while benefiting from being the first to access new Flow-enabled capabilities, which will unlock new opportunities for innovation and creativity.

  2. Why is the product name changing and when will I see this change?
    Creativity requires freedom. Whether you’re a director, artist, editor, or production manager — bringing your dreams into being means eliminating the barriers that stand in your way. Autodesk Flow is laying the foundation for that freedom. The name change signals the beginning of this journey.

    While the new name will be publicly launched on March 26, 2024, it will take time for all content, documentation, and in-product changes to reflect the name change.

    To better connect your tools, data, and teams, we have been developing Autodesk’s Design & Make Platform, comprised of industry clouds and Autodesk Platform Services. Autodesk Flow is the industry cloud for media and entertainment and will enable powerful extended workflows for collaboration across your production pipeline.

  4. Is this change applicable globally?
    Yes, this name change applies to all ShotGrid customers worldwide.

  5. Will ShotGrid’s community URL be changing?
    No, there will be no changes to the site URL and you can continue to access the ShotGrid community at https://community.shotgridsoftware.com/.

Customer Experience

  1. What changes will I see in-app?
    On March 26, 2024, customers will begin to see the new product name and logo for Flow Production Tracking reflected in-app. Changes will happen gradually over the coming weeks.

    There will be no changes made to URLs, APIs, endpoints, data schemes, or anything that would impact productions, user workflows, or existing platform integrations.
  1. Will there be changes to how I try, buy, or access Flow Production Tracking?
    There will be no changes to how you try, buy, or sign in to your Flow Production Tracking site.
    • Trial: You can continue to sign up for a Flow Production Tracking trial on Autodesk.com here.
    • Accessing your account: You will continue to sign in and access your account using your existing site URL or at https://accounts.autodesk.com/.
    • Purchasing a subscription: You can purchase or renew your Flow Production Tracking subscription at www.autodesk.com or by contacting your sales representative.
  1. Will ShotGrid’s downloadable and extendable apps be rebranded?
    The names and visual identities of ShotGrid RV, ShotGrid Create, and ShotGrid Desktop will be updated to reflect the new product naming “Flow Production Tracking” starting March 26, 2024, as follows:
    • ShotGrid RV -> RV
    • ShotGrid Create -> Create
    • ShotGrid Desktop -> Flow Production Tracking

    All three desktop applications will also share the same Flow Production Tracking logo.
  1. When will I see these changes to RV, Create, and Desktop?
    Starting March 26, 2024, you will begin to see these changes when you launch Create and Desktop for the first time or when you download the latest version of RV.

  2. Will how I access RV, Create, and Desktop change?
    There will be no changes to how you access RV, Create, or Desktop.

  3. Will my site URL be changing, and if so, when?
    There will be no changes to hosted site URLs. Customers will continue to have the same site URLs which include:
    • Sites set up prior to June 7, 2021: https://<yoursite>. com/user/login
    • Sites set up after June 7, 2021: https://<yoursite>. shotgrid.autodesk.com/user/login

    There will be no changes to available offerings or pricing for Flow Production Tracking.
