Summary

A variant of a MAXScript exploit was identified and a fix has been made available. The exploit can execute malicious code that can corrupt the 3ds Max environment, cause data loss and instability, as well as spread to other systems.

Description

The 3rd-party MAXScript exploit, ALC2 (variant of ALC, CRP and ADLS) can corrupt 3ds Max software’s settings, run malicious code, and be propagated to other MAX files (*.max) on a Windows® system if scene files containing the script are loaded into 3ds Max.The fix is included in the latest version of 3ds Max Security Tools which is available at the Autodesk App Store.
