Summary 

Autodesk Revit is affected by a PDF File Parsing vulnerability. Exploitation of this vulnerability requires user interaction and can cause a crash.    

Description  

The details of these vulnerabilities are as follows:  

  1. CVE-2024-11454: A maliciously crafted DLL file, when placed in the same directory as an RVT file could be loaded by Autodesk Revit, and execute arbitrary code in the context of the current process due to an untrusted search patch being utilized.

Autodesk highly recommends that customers of the affected products install the latest mitigated product versions noted above, as applicable, via Autodesk Access or the Accounts Portal. As a general best practice, we also recommend that customers only open files from trusted sources.
