Featured exhibits

Get your hands on the technologies that are reshaping our processes and talk to the teams that are using them to change the world.

MASS Design Group: Abundant Futures

The Abundant Futures lab exemplifies the ethos behind the MASS Design practice: to always be in dialogue with the people, places, flora, and fauna of our rural and urban landscapes. Learn how they listen to the voices of nature while focusing on adaptive reuse and re-wilding in projects like the Rwanda Institute of Agriculture Conservation (RICA) and the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Diann Fossey Gorilla Fund.

CalWave and Aloft: Clean, Renewable Maritime Energy

In San Diego, CalWave is harnessing the power of the waves to generate energy, while Aloft deploys advanced sails on global shipping vessels to reduce carbon emissions. Both show how innovative approaches to maritime activities can help us navigate the challenges of climate change.

Visions from Volterra

The city of Volterra, Italy has been continuously occupied for more than 3,000 years—and so is home to a multitude of architectural legacies, from Etruscan and Roman to Medieval and Renaissance. Some are ruins, but others are still in active use—albeit with centuries of evolution and adaptive reuse. Since 2016, work has been underway to digitally reconstruct and preserve architectural, archaeological, and artistic treasures from the ancient city. Interact with artifacts as you learn about the reality-capture technologies being used to preserve the past.

WSP and Industrialized Construction

At Manchester Airport, traditional on-site construction is out, and factory-based manufacturing is in. WSP, with contractor partner Mace, made a radical change toward industrializing the construction process for the fixed nodes and links on pier two, using digital tools to design and build a smaller number of components. Creating a “kit of parts” that can be brought to site, accelerating the construction process, improving predictability, and unlocking the potential for an industry-wide paradigm shift.

Dallas-Fort Worth Airport: Transforming Aviation Infrastructure

The Dallas-Fort Worth airport has an ambitious goal: to become the world’s largest carbon-neutral airport. They are building a new Central Utility Plant (e-CUP) to address heating and cooling demands, with the additional aim of reducing environmental damage to historically disadvantaged communities.

Fusion Factory Experience

Experience a connected, concept-to-production process using Autodesk Fusion—and made possible by HP, Inc. and Avnet. The Fusion team will develop and produce a brand-new consumer product on the spot. You can not only watch it happen, you can talk to the partners who make it possible.

The Cloud

Get inspired by the possibilities that arise when teams, data, and workflows are seamlessly connected. In a small group setting, a facilitator will guide your exploration of the challenges and opportunities that cloud working presents.
