This is a practice exercise video solution
00:03
for this practice. We'll begin with the supply data set, 123 block dot F 3D.
00:09
We need to create a new set up for this.
00:11
So we wanna make sure that we navigate to the
00:12
manufacture workspace and begin creating that new set up.
00:16
The first step is always to double check our units
00:18
and make sure that the units match what we expect.
00:21
Then we can create our new milling setup
00:24
for this.
00:24
We want to navigate to our stock tab,
00:26
make sure that the stock is going to be fixed size box.
00:30
This is gonna be based on the 123 block.
00:33
In this case,
00:34
we're going to assume that the block has already been machined down
00:37
to its one inch by two inch by three inch size.
00:40
And we're only gonna be drilling and tapping the holes.
00:43
Once we have our fixed size box,
00:45
we can navigate back to our setup and create our W CS orientation
00:50
Z is pointing up currently, but X is the wrong direction.
00:53
So we do need to change our orientation by flipping our X axis.
00:58
Then we want to place the coordinate system in the upper left hand corner,
01:02
navigate to our post process and set up our program number.
01:07
In this case, I'm gonna set it as 3001 and I'm gonna call this 123
01:13
op one,
01:14
our W CS offset for this is going to be one which represents G 54 on our host.
01:20
Next GEN control.
01:21
Once we're done, we can say, OK, and make sure that we do save before moving on.
