Creating a digital CAM setup

Module overview

Learn the basics of CAM Setup creation and defining stock and a work coordinate system.  This module will also review a completed program and create the required documentation such as a setup sheet and NC Program.  This information is then taken to the machine where it can be used to set up and control the machine motion to create a real part from a digital model.

After completing this module, you’ll be able to:

  • Indicate a vise.
  • Create a CAM setup.
  • Define Stock and WCS location.    
  • Review a CAM program.    
  • Create a Setup Sheet and NC Program.
