In Revit, you can use multi-rebar annotations to create detailed annotation for fabrication and construction.
00:10
The Multi-Rebar Annotation tool allows you to tag sets of rebar or individual rebar
00:17
with one annotation that identifies the rebar element and the rebar spacing.
00:22
To begin, on the Annotate tab, in the Tag panel, expand the Multi-Rebar annotation tool.
00:29
From the drop-down, you can choose Aligned Multi-Rebar Annotation to tag a set of rebar,
00:35
or Linear Multi-Rebar Annotation to tag individual rebar.
00:39
For this exercise, select Linear Multi-Rebar Annotation.
00:44
In the drawing area, select the rebar elements that you want to dimension.
00:48
A multi-rebar annotation appears.
00:51
To view the spacing of the bars, select the annotation.
00:55
Then, on the Modify | Structural Rebar contextual tab, in the Edit panel, click Select Dimension.
01:03
On the Properties palette, for Equality Display, select Value to display the bar-to-bar spacing.
01:10
To change the display style, in the drawing area, select the multi-rebar annotation.
01:16
Then, in the Properties palette, click Edit Type.
01:19
The Type Properties dialog box appears.
01:22
Here, you can adjust the display style for your multi-rebar annotations.
01:26
In the Tag Family drop-down, select M_Rebar Tag as Quantity & Type.
01:32
Note that if <none> is the only option visible in the Tag Family drop-down,
01:37
you need to load the Rebar Tag Family from the default Revit family library.
01:42
Click OK.
01:44
In the drawing area, select a rebar set.
01:48
Because the Tag Family is set to M_Rebar Tag as Quantity & Type,
01:52
the annotation now includes the quantity and type.
01:56
You can also tag multiple rebar sets at the same time.
01:59
Press and hold CTRL to select another rebar set.
